Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Kansas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will support pharmacists by accurately preparing and packaging medications, delivering meds to nursing units, and handling routine ADC duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Technician Registration Certificate from the State Board of Pharmacy or current Intern certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology.
• Good decision-making and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Fill orders by accurately preparing and packaging medications.
• Deliver medications and pharmacy supplies to nursing units.
• Perform daily ADC routine (restocks, outdates, discrepancy resolution, loading/unloading) and troubleshoot ADC issues.
• Process medication returns (unused, discontinued, or patient discharge).
• Monitor pharmacy inventory and notify manager for reorders.
• Assist pharmacists in clinical reviews (medication reconciliation, triaging reports).
• Accurately maintain documentation logs and perform audits.
