Position Details

This PRN role involves shifts from 8:00AM - 4:30PM, 8:00AM - 6:30PM, 8:30AM - 7:00PM, and 9:00AM - 1:00PM. The successful candidate will:

• Assist pharmacists in filling inpatient orders, including documentation.
• Prepare, deliver, and collect pharmacy items across the medical center, including restocking automated dispensing cabinets.
• Perform floor checks, stock checks, and unit reviews as required.
• Monitor stock for outdated medications and dispose of them properly.
• Process medication returns and refunds, and compound non-sterile medications according to USP795 standards.
• Prepackage medications as per SOPs.
• Answer phones and assist callers with non-professional needs.
• Use EPIC, Pyxis, Carousels, and Pharmacy Keeper software to process medication orders.
• Assist at the service window with customers, staff, and couriers.
• Maintain cleanliness of pharmacy areas and complete required training.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through PTCB
• Active registration with Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified, Registered, or Trainee Technician

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital inpatient experience
• Pharmacy technician experience
• Technical skills in pharmacy practice
• Knowledge of medical terminology and calculations
