Responsibilities

• Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify information.
• Establish and maintain patient profiles and medication lists.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Answer telephones and respond to questions.
• Prepack bulk medicines, fill bottles, and label medications.
• Mix pharmaceutical preparations per prescriptions.
• Clean and help maintain work areas and sterilize glassware.
• Price and file prescriptions that have been filled.
• Assist customers and refer to the pharmacist as needed.
• Receive and store incoming supplies and inform supervisors of shortages.
