Job summary

Centurion is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Pinckneyville Correctional Center in Pinckneyville, Illinois. The technician supports the pharmacist under supervision and helps meet the objectives of the pharmacy department within a correctional setting.

The position offers an hourly base of $20.49 with a PRN differential of $4.00 per hour, making a competitive overall rate for a PRN role.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Pharmacy Technician training program.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Active/current Pharmacy Technician Certification is required.
• At least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Experience in corrections/behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and laws preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance (drug screen and background check).

PRN Pharmacy Technician

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Pinckneyville Correctional Center located in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist. This person will aid and assist the pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner. They will interact with a variety of healthcare professionals, corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the pharmacy department and fulfill contractual requirements.

Hourly rate of $20.49/hour with a PRN differential of $4/hour.

Qualifications

• Completed a Pharmacy Technician training program
• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
• Active/Current Pharmacy Technician Certification
• At least one year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Experience working in corrections/ behavioral health preferred
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
