Job description

Position Summary:

The pharmacy technician must work with pharmacy staff, Quality Correctional Care staff, and county staff to provide medications to inmates and facilities.

Mandatory Functions:

• Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
• Comply with court orders, medical department rules and the policies and procedures of Quality Rx.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions and communicate.
• Assist pharmacist by accurately and efficiently processing, packaging, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Closely manage inventory in a cost-effective manner.
• Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to supervisor.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Present/participate in in-service education sessions.
• Maintain professional attitude at all times.
• Any and all duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Position Details:

This is a PRN position. Pharmacy Hours are M-F, 8AM-4PM.
