Qualifications

• Graduation from a School of Pharmacy accredited by the ACPE; Baccalaureate or PharmD degree required.
• Current and valid registration and licensure by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist.
• Abide by HIPAA privacy rule standards.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficient with computer systems in a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Distributive Activities: prepares, labels, and dispenses medications; data entry; supervises distribution tasks; uses informatics; performs other duties as needed.
• Direct Patient Care Activities: ensures patient safety; interprets orders; monitors regimens; supports adherence packaging and education; promotes cost-effective therapy; documents activities.
• Administrative Activities: monitors department activities; supervises support personnel; prioritizes and organizes workload.
• Professional Responsibilities: completes CE requirements; represents the organization; adheres to CQI actions and standards.
• Regulatory Requirements: comply with state and federal regulations; HIPAA privacy; maintain pharmacist licensure.
• Language & Skills: read/write English; basic computer skills; pharmacy software proficiency.
