Job summary

PharMerica is hiring a PRN Pharmacist in Valdosta, GA to support our closed‑door long‑term care pharmacy. You’ll evaluate orders, ensure drug safety, and collaborate with facility staff to optimize therapy for residents.

The role requires a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy with LT‑care experience, licensure as required, and a detail‑focused, team‑oriented approach. Flexible M‑F 9a‑5p shifts with competitive benefits and DailyPay available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D preferred.
• One year experience in long-term care.
• Licenses/Certifications: As required by government regulations and business needs.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration.
• Maintains patient/resident database with current medical history and concurrent medications.
• Ensures appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered and discussed with the health care team.
• Collaborates with the health care team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
• Documents all communications with physicians, nurses, and patients/residents in the medical record.
• Implements policies for procurement, storage, distribution and disposal of drugs and biologicals.
• Obtains and maintains required documentation per federal and state agencies.
• Informs Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors.
• Assists staff with safe and effective drug procedures.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
