Job summary
Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) seeks a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert medication management in a high-volume clinical setting in Albany, GA. This PRN role focuses on reviewing prescriptions, counseling patients, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure safe and effective therapy.
The ideal candidate has a PharmD, GA licensure, and strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in the state (GA) or applicable jurisdiction.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and regulations.
- Experience in clinical or retail pharmacy with direct patient interaction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and interactions.
- Counsel patients on medication usage and adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy.
- Monitor patient responses and report adverse effects.
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and regulatory compliance.
- Stay current with pharmaceutical knowledge and best practices.
- Manage inventory and storage of medications.
- Provide on-call pharmaceutical support as needed.
