Job summary

Ideal Dental is hiring a Periodontic Dental Assistant to support both patients and the clinical team through the periodontic treatment process. You will drive patient comfort, assist with procedures, and help manage records and follow-ups in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

The role emphasizes travel within assigned areas, X-ray duties, sterilization, and post-treatment education. A current RDA license and CPR certification are required, with at least 1 year in periodontics or

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License (RDA) required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of periodontic or surgical (OS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and make them comfortable throughout treatment.
• Assist Periodontist with procedures and anesthesia.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms.
• Take and chart X-rays and maintain accurate records.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery.

What you'll do:

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their periodontic journey.
• Support patients through complex periodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
• Work alongside the Periodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.
• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.
• Contribute to the success of the periodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 years of specific Periodontic or Surgical (OS) experience
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
