A community hospital in Maryland is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to support patients in recovery from substance dependence. This PRN position involves working in the Emergency Department, providing peer support, and assisting with treatment referrals. Ideal candidates will have personal recovery experience and excellent interpersonal skills.

Functioning under minimal supervision, the Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recoveryfrom high risk of dependent alcohol and drug use problems. The Peer Recovery Coach will work as part of the Emergency Department team to provide peersupport and motivation to encourage patients who are seeking treatment for alcohol or drug dependency and addiction issues. The Peer Recovery Coach will
assist in completing referrals to treatment services and developing service plans to promote successful linkage to treatment services. Services will be providedin the Emergency Department with appropriate follow-up.
This is a PRN position to cover weekends and holidays.
