Qualifications

• BSN required; BSN holders must enroll in an MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire (paid by GCU) or have 9 graduate credits in a related field or an approved national certification.
• Three years of recent pediatric nursing experience with a BSN.
• Active, current, multi-state RN license; must pass drug test and competency testing; excellent communication and relationship-building with students.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach knowledge/skills for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content-area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Remain current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Uphold the university's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position, and Mission.
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance during rotations.
• Support all areas of the nursing program in alignment with the institution's philosophy.
