Job summary

Medical City Dallas seeks a Patient Care Technician for PRN shifts to support Registered Nurses in delivering hands-on patient care. You will assist with vital signs, mobility and daily care, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will have CNA/PCT certification (preferred) and 1+ year hospital experience. This role emphasizes teamwork, empathy and attention to detail within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start
• CNA or PCT certification preferred
• 1+ years experience in a hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support care and recovery
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection
• Keep patient areas clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control
• Communicate kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality
