Job summary

MUSC Health Chester hospital therapy team is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to help patients regain independence when they need it most.

Under supervision of an OT, you will deliver interventions, carry out prescribed procedures, document outcomes, and collaborate with a fast-paced interdisciplinary team in a hospital setting. This is a PRN role requiring availability for 12 hours bi-weekly or more as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current South Carolina OTA licensure is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before seeing patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to patients recovering from injury, illness, surgery, or other medical conditions.
• Carry out therapeutic procedures as prescribed by the referring practitioner.
• Support and advance patient goals established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Reassess patient progress at regular intervals and adjust treatment accordingly.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation that supports clinical findings and outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital environment.
