Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) within four months of employment.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Ability to resource advanced technology.
• 15 CEUs annually as required by state law.
• Knowledge of various surgical procedures within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Strict adherence to sterile field policies and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation in the OR prior to each operation.
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by standards.
• Assist in turnover of the operating room after procedures, including specimen, equipment, and supply processing.
• Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
