USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated PRN Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms; outpatient procedures across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry and Urology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum two years of OR experience.
• Current Texas RN license.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS current.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Knowledgeable of OR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during operative or invasive procedures.
• Care for adult, geriatric and pediatric patients (1 month to adolescence).
• Support OR services across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry and Urology.
• Work weekdays with a schedule subject to surgical flow; some early mornings and late evenings.
• No holidays, weekends, or call; weekdays only.

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated PRN Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Required Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

• Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse
• Current in CPR, ACLS and PALS
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
