Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated PRN Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms; outpatient procedures across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry and Urology.

Schedule Monday-Friday with some early mornings and later evenings; no holidays, weekends, or call. The OR RN performs nursing activities during operative procedures for adults, geriatrics and pediatrics from 1 month to

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Minimum two years of OR experience.
Current Texas RN license.
CPR, ACLS and PALS current.
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians and staff.
Knowledgeable of OR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care during operative or invasive procedures.
Care for adult, geriatric and pediatric patients (1 month to adolescence).
Support OR services across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry and Urology.
Work weekdays with a schedule subject to surgical flow; some early mornings and late evenings.
No holidays, weekends, or call; weekdays only.
