Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PRN Operating Room Nurse for Medical City Surgery Center Fort Worth, part of our national healthcare network. You will circulate or scrub, ensure safe and effective nursing care, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to transfer patients to recovery.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, educating families, preparing for surgery, and adhering to universal protocols. RN licensure and active BCLS/ACLS are required with CNOR preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification upon employment (online not acceptable).
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education around procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patient including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
