Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Services unit on a PRN Day shift in Baptist South. The OR RN will circulate, advocate for patients, and coordinate perioperative care with physicians and teams.

Responsibilities include delivering and documenting care intra-operatively, assisting with case preparation, and ensuring patient safety from entry to discharge. 40-minute call response applies; BLS required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN in Operating Room with responsibility for patient advocacy and intra-operative care.
• 2-3 years Surgical Services experience; Critical Care Nursing Education noted.
• BLS required; ACLS, CNOR, CCRN preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required; state licensure applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision of care in the OR.
• Coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Including patients and families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case and anticipating patient needs.
