Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on the first shift. The OR team includes Pre-Op, surgery, and post-anesthesia care, with a rotation for on-call weekends and holidays.

The role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and delivering direct care while supervising staff and maintaining a healing, quality-focused environment that emphasizes patient relations and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• BLS certification required; obtain within 30 days if not certified.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs and develop care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and manage care delivery.
• Demonstrate leadership and supervise allied staff.
• Support quality care and create a healing environment.
• Maintain customer relations throughout the care process.
• On-call weekends/holidays on a rotating basis.
• Provide perioperative care before, during, and after surgery.
