Join Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton for a PRN Patient Care Nurse Assistant role in the 8M Oncology & Hospice unit. You will support patient care under the supervision of an RN, perform daily tasks, and assist with transfers and comfort measures in a high-quality care setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; nursing students may participate with BLS upon hire. Military healthcare experience is considered advantageously.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross; if not present, must obtain during new hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS certification upon hire.
• Military experience as HM, Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
• Preferred: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• Preferred: prior medical work experience.
• Preferred: nursing student who has completed one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nursing students: BLS upon hire

Military experience (HM, 68W, or 4N0X1)
