Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Rehab Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under on-site supervision, supporting therapists and serving as a liaison with patients and families at the Akron UA Fieldhouse facility with occasional travel to nearby Sports Rehab Clinics.

The role involves patient registration, treatment area prep, equipment handling, inventory management, video recording therapy sessions, transporting patients, and coordinating care across disciplines, while

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience in rehab settings with medically fragile children preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.

Responsibilities

Register patients: scheduling, phones, check-in/out, co-pays.
Maintain treatment areas and submit work orders.
Maintain and assemble/disassemble equipment.
Track inventory and stock supplies.
Video record therapy sessions.
Transport patients to therapy sessions.
Provide direct/indirect patient care under supervision.
Coordinate care among disciplines, providers and families.
Serve diverse patient needs: physical, psychological, social, educational, safety.
Perform other duties as required.
