Job summary

Akron Children's in Medina, OH is seeking a Rehab Technician to support direct and indirect patient care under on-site therapist supervision, assist with therapy sessions, and help maintain treatment areas.

This full-time, 40-hour/week role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and competency with MS Office; experience with pediatric, medically fragile patients is preferred; on-site schedule Mon-Fri 7 AM–7 PM.

Qualifications

Experience in rehab settings with children preferred.
Strong customer service skills required.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.

Responsibilities

1. Patient registration duties, including scheduling, answering phones, checking in/out, collecting co-pays.
2. Department upkeep and preparation of treatment areas; submit work orders.
3. Equipment maintenance and assembly/disassembly.
4. Track inventory and stock supplies.
5. Transporting patients to/from therapy sessions and coordinating care.
6. Direct/indirect patient care under therapist supervision (casting, transfers, toileting, dressing, bathing, positioning, gait training, groups).
7. Coordination of care between disciplines, providers and family.
8. Ensure safety and address physical, psychological, social, educational needs.
