Job summary

Beacon Health System seeks a PRN Associate Chaplain to provide compassionate, patient-centered spiritual care in an inpatient hospital setting. The role supports patients, families, and staff through spiritual assessment, crisis response, and collaborative care across Beacon locations in Michigan.

On-call overnight coverage is required with travel between Beacon locations as needed. Applicants should have a bachelor’s or advanced degree in theology or related field, completion of 1 unit of CPE,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Theology, Spirituality, Social Work, Divinity, Philosophy, Pastoral Studies, Human Behavior, or a related field required.
Completion of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through an accredited program.
Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

Providing spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff.
Responding to crisis situations, end-of-life care, and perinatal bereavement support.
Participating in interdisciplinary care teams.
Documenting spiritual care interventions in accordance with Beacon standards.
Providing overnight on-call coverage as assigned.
Traveling between Beacon locations as needed to support staffing coverage.
