AdventHealth seeks a Chaplain to assess and address the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff as part of a holistic care team. You will provide compassionate spiritual support, help in ethical decision-making, and document activities per regulations.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Divinity (or related field) and ACPE CPE hours, with 1+ year pastoral ministry experience. The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and involvement in care planning, with night/weekend

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Divinity or related field required.
• ACPE CPE Level 1 & 2 required/engaged.
• 1+ years pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with or willingness to learn EMR systems (Cerner).
• Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess spiritual needs of patients as part of a holistic care team.
• Provide focused attention to patients, families, and staff.
• Deliver personalized spiritual care and emotional support.
• Assist in major healthcare decisions with ethical considerations.
• Document pastoral activities in compliance with regulations.
• Mentor chaplain interns and residents.
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and care planning.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with staff and families.
