Job summary

Cherokee Park Rehabilitation in Louisville, KY is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our warm, supportive rehab team on a PRN basis. You will provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT, helping residents regain independence in daily living and maintain a positive, patient-centered approach.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document care accurately, and follow state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state OT assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in screening and input to initial evaluations.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients per the established plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and meetings as directed.
• Monitor changes in patient conditions and communicate progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and organizational data.
• Conduct yourself ethically and professionally; perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program

Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license
