Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans addressing the functional needs of a variety of patient diagnoses. This PRN role includes one weekend day per month.

Key duties include thorough documentation with proper coding, collaboration with other disciplines, mentoring new partners, and active participation in performance improvement initiatives to sustain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• WI or IL licensure as COTA (or both) as required by location.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow established treatment plans using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Maintain thorough documentation with appropriate coding and billing.
• Communicate with other disciplines and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
• Mentor new partners and participate in PI/CQI processes.

Education

Graduate of an accredited OTA program

Licensed as a COTA in WI or IL

CPR/BLS certification within 90 days
