Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to collaborate with an OT team and provide patient-centered therapy. In this PRN role, you will document services and educate patients, families, and staff while directing support personnel in implementing therapy plans.

Applicants should be OTA graduates, licensed or eligible for Oklahoma licensure, with current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant education program; successful completion of the certification process.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an OTA by the Oklahoma State Board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required during orientation and maintained for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OT/OTA team to support patient-centered decision making.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Educate patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members.
• Direct and supervise activities of support personnel.
• Perform OT programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist using standard techniques tailored to patient age and needs.
