Shift:

Shift 1 / 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Pay Rate:

$51.14 / hour

Summary

Responsible for examining, evaluating, and testing individuals with mechanical, physiological, and developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or other health and movement-related conditions. The goal is to determine diagnosis, prognosis, and develop a treatment plan, as well as assess ongoing effects of interventions. The OT is also responsible for alleviating impairments and disabilities by designing, implementing, and modifying treatment interventions. Additional responsibilities include reducing injury and impairment risks, and promoting health and wellness across all ages. The OT will engage in administration, consultation, education, and research, maintaining professional behavior. Success in this role requires critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, effective feedback utilization, time and resource management, stress management, and a commitment to learning.

Requirements
  • Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience: No previous experience required.
  • Certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).
  • License: Active Florida State Occupational Therapist Licensure.
  • Other: Staff may be required to rotate to other treatment areas as needed, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health, Rehab Hospitals, and Pediatrics, which may require Level 2 Background Screening.
