Lee Physician Group is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN to join their Outpatient Pediatric Office in Fort Myers. This RN will work Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm monitoring the Pediatric after-hours triage line. These evening shifts will be remote. This PRN position also covers in-office and occasional weekends to cover call outs and vacations.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing an excellent patient experience while delivering and documenting safe patient care through the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and care team members. Responsibilities include oversight and coordination of nursing care in the practice setting or telephonically, ensuring effective, efficient care that achieves desired patient outcomes. The RN delivers and coordinates nursing care based on treatment plans, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements, including the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The role involves utilizing available tools and resources to educate patients, assist with specialty referrals and authorizations, and coordinate care across the continuum. The RN contributes to quality care through customer service and performance improvement techniques, demonstrating positive patient outcomes. The position requires appropriate knowledge, experience, interpersonal skills, and behaviors to serve as a resource for internal and external customers regarding patient care.
