Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) for our Kingwood Healthcare Center in Kingwood, WV. The in-house therapy team delivers evaluation, treatment planning, and direct care to residents with a focus on improving function and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program.
• Occupational Therapy License (Required)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, screen, and treat facility patients/residents who are in need for Occupational Therapy services.
• Review medical charts and screen prior to evaluation to determine needs and benefits from therapy.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician orders.
• Provide supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and relay clinical findings to rehab team.
• Maintain documentation and billing accuracy per facility procedures.
• Support staff education and family training on therapy plans as appropriate.
