Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies, Mt Vernon Healthcare Center in Alexandria, VA, seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans in line with physician orders.

You will deliver direct therapy, educate rehab staff, and supervise COTAs as needed, contributing to a collaborative, resident-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or pending state OT license.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient’s occupational needs evaluation under physician order and develop a treatment plan.
• Implement treatment plan through direct treatment and educate staff involved in the plan.
• Provide supervision for COTAs as needed.
• Attend or lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations.
• Treat residents at multiple locations to meet diverse rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications / Must Have’s

• A Bachelor's, Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Occupational Therapy License

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plan through direct treatment, as well as education of treatment staff including therapists and other members of team involved in treatment plan.
• Provide necessary supervision for COTAs.
• Attend/Lead interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of rehab team, including family education and consultation.
