Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for Battlefield Park Healthcare Center in Petersburg, VA. This in-house role supports residents by evaluating occupational needs and developing individualized treatment plans under physician orders.

You will implement treatments, educate staff, and supervise COTAs, while participating in interdisciplinary meetings to relay findings and recommendations to the rehab team and family members when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have all prerequisite OT degrees from an accredited program.
• Current Virginia OT license or pursuing license is required.
• Strong collaboration with therapy team and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient’s occupational needs evaluation under physician order and develop a treatment plan.
• Implement treatment plan through direct treatment and education of treatment staff.
• Provide supervision for COTAs.
• Attend/Lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and recommendations.
