Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN opening for an Occupational Therapist (OT) at Kokomo Healthcare Center, where therapists are in-house Team Members. This role offers the opportunity to impact residents directly through therapy services and to work within a growing national organization.

The OT will evaluate residents, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, supervise COTAs, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings with the rehab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Occupational Therapy.
• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program required.
• Hold a valid or pending State Occupational Therapy License.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient’s/resident’s occupational needs evaluation under physician order and develop a treatment plan in accordance with patient’s needs.
• Implement treatment plan through direct treatment, as well as education of treatment staff including therapists and other members of team involved in treatment plan.
• Provide necessary supervision for COTAs.
• Attend/Lead interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of rehab team, including family education and consultation.

Qualifications/Must Have’s:

• A Bachelor's
• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program
