Job summary

Champion, Partners in Rehab in Roanoke, Alabama is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) for a PRN on-call role at Traylor Retirement Community. The therapist will evaluate patients, develop therapy plans, provide direct treatments, and coordinate with the rehab team to improve function and well-being.

This position requires an AOTA-approved curriculum, licensure or eligibility in Alabama, and ABOT certification.

Qualifications

Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy.
Certified by the American Board of Certification.
COVID vaccination is preferred; exemption considered.

Responsibilities

Direct patient treatments.
Safety of the patient while in the Occupational Therapy department.
Organization and proper order of the OT treatment area.
Maintaining departmental and patient records.
Monitoring the supplies used for extended care, physical disabilities and stress management patients.
Charting daily progress of patients.
Evaluate patients referred to Occupational Therapy to determine current status and potential benefit.
Plan therapy programs for in-patients, out-patients, extended care, and stress management patients.
Evaluate, record, and report patients progress for rehab team review.
Prepare and fit splints for upper and lower extremities as ordered.
Requisitions supplies and equipment.
Provide a safe Occupational Therapy Department.
Perform related duties as assigned.
