Champion, Partners in Rehab seeks a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation therapy in a Skilled Nursing Facility in the Birmingham, AL area. The role covers afternoons and weekends, serving patients of all ages with temporary or chronic physical and mental disabilities.

Education requires an OT curriculum approved by the AOTA, Alabama licensure or eligibility, and ABOT certification. The OT uses therapeutic activities to improve function and mental adjustment, and

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Certified by the American Board of Certification.
• Completed an Occupational Therapy curriculum approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Responsabilités

• Direct patient treatments.
• Maintain safety of the patient while in the Occupational Therapy department.
• Organize and maintain the Occupational Therapy treatment area and patient records.
• Monitor supplies used for extended care and various patient groups.
• Chart daily progress of patients.
• Evaluate patients referred to Occupational Therapy and plan therapy programs.
• Prepare and fit splints for upper and lower extremities as ordered.
• Requisition supplies and equipment.
• Provide a safe Occupational Therapy Department.
• Ensure economical use of hospital equipment and supplies.
