Job summary

AdventHealth in Minneola, FL is hiring an Occupational Therapist for PRN shifts, requiring four shifts per month with at least one weekend. You will assess, plan, implement, and document patient OT care and educate families for discharge.

Supervisory responsibilities for OT assistants are included, with emphasis on safety and evidence-based practices. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and an OT license; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred.
• OT license is required for eligibility to practice.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and re-evaluates patients using standard OT techniques.
• Establishes and adjusts individualized OT treatment plans and goals.
• Documents patient progress accurately and timely.
• Educates patients and caregivers, including discharge planning.
• Discharges patients when maximum benefit is reached per guidelines.
• Supervises OT assistants and rehab aides per regulations.
