Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist for PRN staffing. You will evaluate patients, create and adjust therapy plans, document progress, and educate families. You’ll supervise OT assistants and contribute to department quality initiatives.

The role requires a Florida OT license or temporary eligibility, BLS, and strong communication with the care team. On-site work with a focus on safety and patient well-being.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • OT licensure or temporary OT eligibility (Florida).
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using standard techniques.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans and goals.
  • Document accurately using measurable terminology.
  • Educate patients and caregivers and provide discharge recommendations.
  • Oversee care by OT assistants and rehab aides as required.
  • Uphold safety, productivity, and quality standards.
