Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to join a clinical team supporting Acute Care, Cardiovascular & Pulmonary, Geriatrics, Neurology, Oncology, Pediatrics, and Women's Health services.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy, Texas licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification. No experience is required, with weekend and weekday shifts on a rotating basis and onboarding to fit patient needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience: No experience is required.
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS certification; Texas licensed or eligible for Texas license on hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and treatment protocols, ensuring patient safety and proper body mechanics.
• Reviews information from patient records to identify problems, sets goals, and tracks progress to ensure timely patient advancement.
• Designs treatment plans, documents progress, and ensures prescriptions are completed; orders equipment as needed.
• Organizes patient treatment and coverage, assists in supervision of technicians and students, and supports on-the-job training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
