Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist in New Hope, MN to assess and treat residents in a collaborative rehab team. You will design individualized OT plans, evaluate need and progress, and contribute to patient outcomes in a post-acute and long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes clinical autonomy, interdisciplinary collaboration with nursing and therapy, and a schedule offering flexibility with no weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed OT in the state(s) of practice.
• NBCOT certification is preferred for Sanford Health facilities.
• BLS for health care providers required or within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments.
• Help clients develop, maintain and regain ability to perform daily tasks.
• Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for functional, cognitive or psychosocial impairments.
• Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial abilities; set therapy goals and administer programs.
• Document information for evaluation and establish/modify therapeutic plans as needed.
• Provide education to enhance understanding and functional outcomes.
• Demonstrate current research knowledge in daily treatment; interact with a variety of care providers.
