Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant to support acute care patients across IP units, ICU, ED, PACU, and post-surgical pathways. You will collaborate with licensed therapists to administer therapeutic treatments within established guidelines.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient responses, and adapting activities to patient needs while maintaining safety and compliance with state and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Current licensure issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Athletic Trainers Board.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assists in administering therapeutic treatment to assigned patient population under guidance of licensed therapists.
• Implements treatment plans and monitors patient responses within established guidelines.
• Maintains safety and compliance with state and organizational policies while delivering care.
