Job summary

Conway Regional Health System seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and develop a plan of care, using rehabilitation techniques, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, manual therapy, ultrasound, traction, therapeutic exercises, massage and wound care interventions.

You will supervise portions of treatments delegated to support personnel and ensure patient progress toward goals while adhering to National Patient Safety Goals and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program/Masters and/or a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Familiar with up-to-date techniques and treatments covering the entire field of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the Arkansas State Board Medical Board.
• Capable of treating pediatric through geriatric populations with emphasis on National Patient Safety Goals.

Job description

Overview

This position requires the responsibility of providing treatment to a diverse population. Occupational Therapists are also responsible for the supervision of treatments or parts of treatments delegated to support personnel.

The Occupational Therapist will work with patients, initially evaluating them and establishing a plan of care. The Occupational Therapist should be able to develop a plan of care using their skills as, identifying goals and ensuring patients are progressing and adapting the treatment plan according to progress and other applicable conditions. These treatments should include utilization of techniques and equipment of rehabilitation, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, manual therapy, ultrasound, traction, therapeutic exercises, massage, wound care interventions, and individualized application to the patient.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the deliveryhealth care related services.
