Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a PRN Nutrition Services Cashier to support our Cafeteria department at Northwest Houghton Hospital and Northwest Sahuarita Hospital. The role processes transactions, restocks items, and maintains cleanliness to ensure a positive dining experience.

This on-call/ as-needed position requires reliable attendance, ability to work in a fast-paced team, and familiarity with POS systems. Benefits include matching 401(k) and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in cashiering or food service preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit as applicable by state and county laws required.

Responsibilities

• Operates cash register or POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintains cash drawer accuracy and prepares deposits at end of shift.
• Supports retail food service operations, including line serving and beverage stations.
• Maintains cleanliness of dining and cashier areas.
• Inventories and restocks food and non-food items using FIFO rotation.
• Sets up merchandise and food items for purchase and consumption daily.
• Ensures refrigerators and displays are clean and stocked.
• Provides courteous, helpful service to customers and addresses questions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
