Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) PRN/Per Diem for night shifts. The role offers $23.50 per hour plus shift differential and requires BLS certification or completion within 90 days.

Per diem schedule includes four shifts per 6 weeks, with at least one weekend shift. Responsibilities include vital signs, assisting with personal care, meals, mobility, and patient transport.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, nursing assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding; document oral intake and supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients; assist mobility program.
• Respond to patient call lights and support patient well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas for treatment.
