University Health in San Antonio, Texas seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to provide primary and specialty health care, including preventive care and ongoing maintenance for selected patient groups. The NP/ANP will work across ambulatory and inpatient settings, participating in care for well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients.

Candidates should hold Texas RN licensure with ANP credentialing, possess prescriptive authority, and have 3+ years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
A Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
Prescriptive authority is required; DEA registration must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Three years of nursing experience is preferred.
Maintain current BLS or higher per Medical-Dental staff bylaws; ACLS certification or advanced specialty equivalent within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

Provides primary and/or specialized health care including preventive care and ongoing health maintenance for selected patient groups.
Functions in settings ranging from ambulatory to inpatient.
Participates in the care of well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients.
