Job summary

University Health in Texas is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to join our health care team. You will provide preventive care and ongoing health maintenance for selected patient groups across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

The ideal candidate will hold Texas RN licensure with ANP credentials, prescriptive authority, and DEA eligibility within 90 days. A Master’s degree in nursing is preferred and board certification is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in Texas; eligible for Advanced Nurse Practitioner credentialing.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• Three years nursing experience required; two years advanced practice preferred.
• Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher.
• Prescriptive authority required; DEA number within 90 days of hire.
• Certification by a national nursing body required.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive care and ongoing health maintenance for selected patient groups across ambulatory to inpatient settings.
• Functions in diverse clinical settings.
• Participates in care of well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients.
