Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide care to client employees and their dependents at our Shelby, NC Health Center. You will perform physical exams, injections, wound care, and order tests, while educating patients and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure ongoing, comprehensive care.

Requirements include RN and NP licensure, DEA license, national certification (ANCC/AANP), a Master’s in Nursing, BLS (and ACLS if required), and at least three years of

Qualifications

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable).
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state.
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required).
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required).
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support; ACLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduces physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned
