Qualifications

• Board eligible.
• Certified by the state of Florida to practice and administer radiation.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs for diagnosis.
• Prepares and administers radioactive drugs.
• Captures images for physician diagnosis.
• Minimizes radiation exposure to patient and staff.
• Verifies patient identification and collects history.
• Prepares patient for procedures and explains risks.
