Nuclear Med Tech Job Overview: IN-HOUSE CONTRACT AVAILABLE

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This is a vital role in our healthcare facility, and we are looking for someone with excellent technical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Duties:

1. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures
2. Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture images of organs and tissues
3. Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
4. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate diagnoses
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
6. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper disposal of radioactive materials
7. Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
2. Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
3. Current state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
4. Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
5. Excellent technical skills in operating imaging equipment and capturing high-quality images
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
8. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures to patients in a clear and compassionate manner
