Qualifications

• Associate of Science is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP are preferred.
• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist is required-DOH.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators for patients needing respiratory support.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and others to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide patient education on breathing techniques, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
