Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL, seeks a PRN Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/PA) to join the Neuro Critical Care team. The role involves caring for high-acuity neuro patients alongside neurointensivists, APPs, and nurses in a fast-paced ICU.

Requirements include RN/APRN licensure with national board certification; Acute Care NP or PA training; Illinois licensure/eligibility. Night shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekends preferred; minimum two shifts per month to retain PRN status.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification: RN and APRN license in state of practice; NP licensure.
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice.
• Illinois PA licensure or eligibility for PA track.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill neuro patients.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Participate in admissions, consultations, and rounds with multidisciplinary teams.
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests and treatments.
• Perform bedside procedures within credentialing.
• Maintain timely documentation in the EMR.
